Summary
Bloggers needed for site that covers technology news as it relates to African-American people (with opinion and analysis). We are looking for someone who can pick up the latest news from the mainstream and African-American technology industry and post it with some brief analysis and insight. The content of each post will mostly be at your discretion; however the topic must fit into the site's theme. Our posts typically average 300-350 words and must be submitted through Wordpress. Bloggers must have basic knowledge of SEO practices, with the ability to effectively link.
Bloggers must have excellent writing skills and be deadline driven. Writers will be expected to have weekly contact with the company's blog manager and will receive ongoing editorial guidance.
This position is paid on a per-post basis, with funds disbursed monthly.
Required Skills
-Applicants must be well-versed in the subject matter area or have previous writing experience in the area. Ideal bloggers will have at least one year blogging experience in general.
-Ability to monitor news and write in near real time.
-Ability to post 2-4 times per week.
-Engaging writer with a sharp wit and strong voice.
